Manori Lounge is a sole proprietorship based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, operating online as Manori Lounge (manorilounge.shop).
How this started
A blanket that came out trapezoidal. The pattern was fine, the counting was fine, and the problem turned out to be a hook sold as 4 mm that measured a little over it, worked with a yarn whose stated weight belonged to a different category altogether.
Nobody would tell us either number honestly. So we started measuring hooks with a gauge and weighing skeins on a kitchen scale before listing them, and that habit is the whole reason this shop exists.
Tension is not a personal failing. It is usually a hook that is not the size printed on it.
Our commitment
Hooks measured, not just labelled
Every hook size on a listing has been checked against a gauge here. Where a shaft measures off its printed size, we say so on the page rather than quietly ship it.
Yarn weight and metreage stated
Grams and metres per skein are listed alongside the category name, because the category name alone tells you very little about what you are buying.
Dye lots kept together
Where a colour is stocked in lots, an order for several skeins is filled from one lot wherever we have it, and we tell you when we cannot.
What sits on the shelf
The range stays narrow on purpose. Each hook is worked for an evening before it is listed, because a throat that catches or a grip that raises a blister only shows up after an hour, never in a photograph.
We trade under our own name and stock no other company’s branded ranges, so nothing here is described as an official version of anything. What a listing claims is what we have measured ourselves.
Online only
There is no showroom and no walk-in counter. Manori Lounge trades entirely online and ships across India from Jaipur, Rajasthan, which keeps overheads off the price of the goods.
